WELDED SHEAR STUDS
All of our studs are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 13918:2008. Shear studs are a major component of a composite floor design, ensuring that the floor is suitably connected to the structure to provide a detail limiting progressive collapse in buildings. Studs are welded to the structure of the building. They are incorporated into the structural concrete topping by reinforcement connections as designed by the project engineer and once the structural concrete topping is applied, are integral to the structural integrity of the building.
Due to the integral part these products and services play in all our contracts, we ensure all products are European sourced and adhere to all the required British and European standards. For such critical structural components, we do not support the supply of cheaper and often inferior imports from less reputable manufacturers. All our studs are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of BS EN ISO 13918:2008.
